Fashion models are more than just pretty faces that can strike a good pose. It can take years of hard work and determination for a model to even be considered to work with the top designers and magazines. Whilst supermodels such as Naomi Campbell and Cindy Crawford are names known to everyone, there is a new wave of faces that you may not know, but definitely should.

Here are six new-generation fashion models that you should have on your radar…

Vittoria Ceretti

Unless you have been living under a rock the past few fashion seasons, then you may already know who Vittoria Ceretti is. But with an ever-increasing presence on both runways and magazine covers, Ceretti is definitely one to watch.

Born in Italy, Vittoria began her modeling career through the Elite Model Look competition and was chosen as a finalist in 2012. Since then she has appeared in campaigns for Alexander McQueen, Chanel, Fendi, Givenchy, Prada, Ralph Lauren, Versace, Valentino, and many more. She has also graced the cover of Vogue Paris, British Vogue, Vogue China, Vogue Japan, AnOther, and GARAGE.

Mona Tougaard

Mona is always a standout on the runway. The past season alone she walked in 39 shows as well as starring in eight major brand campaigns. It’s actually harder to find a major designer runway show that doesn’t feature Mona. Her striking look is the result of Somalian, Ethiopian, Danish, and Turkish heritage.

Anok Yai

According to Models.com, Anok Yai is one of the “new supers” of this generation, and it is not hard to see why. Within 4 months of being signed to Next Model Management, Anok became the first Sudanese model to open a Prada fashion show. A position that is held in the highest regard within the fashion industry due to the careers that Prada has launched. She has since walked for Versace, Fendi, Burberry, Saint Laurent, Ferragamo, Dior, and Tom Ford just to name a few. In 2023, Yai was featured in a Vogue tribute cover to Karl Lagerfeld, photographed by Annie Leibovitz. She has also covered Vogue Spain, Vogue Italy and i-D.

Yasmin Wijnaldum

Another Elite Model Look alum, Yasmin made her runway debut during Couture Fashion Week in the autumn of 2015, where she first walked for Jean Paul Gaultier and Valentino. Her first campaign followed and at the age of just 17 Yasmin starred alongside Sasha Pivovarova and Natalia Vodianova in Prada’s Spring/Summer 2016 campaign. She has since covered numerous international editions of Vogue, as well as i-D, Dazed magazine, and Numéro.

Sara Grace Wallerstedt

Sara Grace Wallerstedt has quickly become a favourite on the runway. Having walked for Fendi, Burberry, Chanel, Tory Burch, Dior, Michael Kors, Louis Vuitton, and Valentino among others. Not bad for attending an open call at an agency near her hometown in Texas! Her first magazine cover was for Vogue Italia, but she has since covered Vogue Korea and Vogue China.

Adut Akech

South Sudanese native Adut Akech is currently one of the fashion industry’s most in-demand talents. In 2016, she was cast as a global exclusive for Anthony Vaccarello’s debut Saint Laurent show. Since then, she has become the muse of Valentino’s renowned designer, Pierpaolo Piccioli, who took her to the 2018 Met Gala. She was also one of Karl Lagerfeld’s muses who frequently gave Adut the renowned spots of opening and closing multiple shows for Chanel.
