6 Ways To Style Leopard Print

Leopard print is one of those trends that is a bit like marmite – you either love it or you hate it. Whilst some see it as a wardrobe staple, others find it tacky and dated. Whatever your opinion may be there’s no doubt that leopard print has undergone a renaissance and is set to be one of the biggest fashion trends of 2024.

You only need to look to the latest runways for proof. Leopard print was seen throughout the FW24 collections of Alaïa and Dior, FROLOV, and Versace. It has however been rebranded this season – think more elegant than tacky – making it a much more accessible aesthetic to achieve and much more understated than the mob wife aesthetic that has been everywhere the past few months.

Here are six ways you can style this trend as well as some key pieces to shop…

Maxi dress

In terms of styling, some options will never get old. For instance, a sheer, leopard print maxi dress. It’s also the most effortless way to style this trend as you don’t really need to think about it. Just pop on the dress and go. This is a look that is catching on in a big way!

Maximalist

Ok so this one will not be for everyone, but sometimes the maximalist approach is the only way to go. Take inspiration from ROTATE and Marni and go head-to-toe leopard. You’ll stand out but for all the right reasons.

Leopard print skirt

@keziacook

If the thought of all-out leopard is still too daunting then the best styling tip is to break it up with neutral basics. Pairing a leopard print skirt with a simple white tee for instance is a great way to embrace the trend whilst still keeping it modest and casual for a daytime look.

Trousers

As an alternative to the skirt, follow Emili’s lead and opt for trousers instead. Style with a longline coat and sandals to take you from day to night.

Leopard print coats

Channel your inner mob wife and nail two trends in one! Some would argue that a faux-fur leopard print coat is akin to a leather jacket and should be a permanent fixture in your wardrobe. Looking at the inspiration above, I would have to agree!

Accessories

Sometimes all it takes is a little pop of leopard print! From tights and bags to hats and shoes, embracing this trend through accessories is a perfect way to ease yourself in if you’re not fully ready to commit.
