The Daisy Jones and the Six adaptation is finally coming to Amazon Prime on 3rd March. The series, which is based on the novel by Taylor Jenkins Reid (which in turn is inspired by 70s icon Stevie Nicks), promises to give us the best of 70s rock and roll styling. Costume designer Denise Wingate’s previous work includes A Cinderella Story, Cruel Intentions and She’s All That, so we already know the fashion is going to be good!

Whilst many trends come and go, the influence of the 70s keeps on giving. Perhaps it’s the ease of the floaty fabrics or the confident prints that we are drawn to. Whatever the reason, it’s undeniable that this is a decade that has provided some of the best sartorial inspiration. With the release of Daisy Jones and The Six, we’re going to find even more 70s-inspired pieces – and we’re here for it!

Riley Keough (Daisy Jones) and Suki Waterhouse (Karen Sirko) have already become style icons. Suki, in particular, has already committed to 70’s dressing during the press tour.

The key to channelling the 70s without looking like you’re going to a costume party is to avoid anything bright. The 70s colour palette is much more muted and earthier. Think browns, yellows, burnt oranges and denim blues. For fabrics, go for suedes and crochet knits. If you fancy the more daring side to the decade, big florals and zig zags are your prints.

If you’re still unsure, here is some inspiration for 70’s inspired outfits that will have you feeling like Daisy Jones…
