Eccentric dressing is defining the summer 2026 trends, with statement designs and bold silhouettes favoured by brands across all four fashion capitals. So, if you’re looking to make an impression this summer, keep scrolling for the 2026 trends worth buying into, from colour-blocking to daring florals.
Colour blocking

Colour blocking is back to bring joy into your wardrobes. It is essentially wearing unlikely colour combinations together to create a striking look. Fringe

Fringing is constantly in and out of the trend spotlight, but for SS26, it is very much in. Seen at Acne Studios, Balenciaga, Calvin Klein, Givenchy, and Moschino, this Western staple is on everything from bags to skirts.
Florals

Florals were in full force across this season’s biggest shows – from Erdem and Gucci to Miu Miu and Dior. While florals are nothing new for summer, this time, designers have reinterpreted the print. Erdem presented 19th-century floral designs on gowns, corsets, and embroidered coats while Dior payed homage to the brands roots with petal shaped silhouettes.
Eccentric Skirts

Whether feathered, fringed, or fluffed, skirts have been given a makeover this season, with extra voluminous silhouettes and tactile textures seen at Chanel, Bottega Veneta, Rabanne, and Dior Couture.
Knot Detailing

Sweaters tied around the neck or waist have long been a styling staple, but for spring/summer 2026, this trend is more than just practicality; it’s become a way to accessorize. Dolce & Gabbana’s SS26 collection repeatedly showed knotted waists to not only cinch the silhouette but to tie the whole look together. While Dior showed knots and bows adorned on statement-making mini skirts and dresses
