Collection 10 by A. Roege Hove was the first of the spring/summer 2024 season at Copenhagen Fashion Week and it did not disappoint.
The Designmuseum Danmark set the scene for the brand’s latest collection, which was presented on
August 7th, 2023. Despite the downpour, the museum’s courtyard served as an exceptional backdrop, accentuating the brand’s ties to the Danish landscape of craft and design.
The SS24 collection featured a range of tops, dresses, skirts, and shorts. Each is as wearable as the next in a colour palette of black, white, green, orange, and soft pink. Proving that the Scandi-minimalist aesthetic of less is more cannot be faltered. The collection pushes “the boundaries of knitwear, redefining its possibilities,” with pieces that can be worn from day to night with the help of sheer fabrics and asymmetrical shoulders.
Embracing exposed skin has become somewhat of a signature of A. Roege Hove’s collections. The designs exude sensuality and confidence, embodying a new, enlivened spirit. Low waists were seen throughout, as well as the omission of pants on one particular look. Hinting that perhaps the no-pants trend we have seen a lot of in the past year isn’t going anywhere anytime soon.

A highlight of this SS24 Show is the collaboration with the Danish house Georg Jensen. Preceding the release of the collection that will be launched in September, the SS24 show showcased a preview of the jewellery capsule that looks to explore the process of knitting within jewellery and silverware.
The collection also includes three knitted showpieces that carry silver beads that are innovatively incorporated into the knitwear techniques, allowing the beads to peek through the transparent knit.
One word to sum up this collection would be effortless. The unique designs redefine elegance through innovative knitwear and showcase the brands expertise in contemporary craftsmanship. The A. Roege Hove woman is empowered and will not be stopped by anything. Especially not a shower of summer rain.
