ballet flats

Ballet flats are gaining in popularity. A resurgence that was almost inevitable given the rise of many noughties’ trends in recent years.

They may have once been synonymous with school uniforms, but ballet flats have quickly cemented themselves as a fashion staple and are currently one of the biggest shoe trends of 2024. What they offer is a far more comfortable alternative to heels. As well as a chicer option for trainers.

Whilst a timeless but simple pair of black ballet pumps would never go amiss in your wardrobe, the rise in popularity of this shoe style does mean they have been given a modern update. On the runway, pointed-toe ballet flats were seen at Gabriela Hearst, Prada, and TOVE. Whilst mesh and fishnet pumps were showcased at The Row, Nensi Dojaka, Bottega Veneta, Miu Miu, and Khaite.
