Dégagé chic was the theme of Michael Kors’ Fall/Winter 2025 runway show presented during New York Fashion Week. A collection that blended relaxed silhouettes with refined sophistication. With a focus on timeless style and modern versatility, Kors once again proved that effortless dressing can be just as powerful as high drama. Here is everything to know about the Michael Kors FW25 collection…
The Location
The show took place at at Terminal Warehouse—the former location of the iconic 1990s Tunnel Nightclub—in Chelsea, New York City. The space was transformed into a sleek, welcoming residential space with mid-century furniture, exposed brick and wood paneling, Japanese lanterns, end tables and home décor reminiscent of a downtown New York loft.
The Inspiration
“This show was inspired by the laid-back elegance that imbues the spirit of our homes and our new Michael Kors Collection store on Madison Avenue,” says designer Michael Kors in the show notes. “Timeless, warm, modern, architectural yet sensual, I wanted the collection to exemplify cozy modernism and hands in the pockets chic.”

The Collection
For Fall/Winter, Kors embraced relaxed glamour. Softly tailored menswear coats and jackets were shown over pleated skirts, while light layering added movement to soft dresses, liquid silk overshirts and draped blouses.

The colour palette consisted of rich tones of chocolate, caramel, bottle and aubergine that countered the urban greys and the timelessness of black and white.

In terms of footwear, Michael Kors FW25 is all about the boots – from ankle to riding boots with architectural heels. Streamlined travel-inspired bags—bowling bags, satchels and oversized clutches—brought the finishing touches to the collection.
The Hero Looks

My standout looks of the collection include the textured shearling coats in iris and celadon that were each styled with a turtleneck in a matching hue. As well as this stunning monochromatic khaki ensemble.

The Casting
Models including Liisa Winkler, Georgina Grenville, Malgosia Bela, Paloma Elsesser, Angelina Kendall, Lina Zhang, Jessica Miller, Amelia Gray Hamlin, Mona Tougaard, Alex Consani and more walked the runway to a custom soundtrack crafted by composer Sebastien Perrin.

The FROW
You can always count on Michael Kors to have a killer front row. The show was attended by Uma Thurman who wore a wool-melton Chesterfield coat and cashmere turtleneck sweater, both from the Fall/Winter 2025 Michael Kors Collection paired with java wool-serge trousers from SS25. Also in attendance were Suki Waterhouse, Kerry Washington, Nicole Scherzinger, Rachel Zegler, Rose Byrne, Lea Michele, and Ella Hunt, Lisa Rinna
