Who is cast in The Devil Wears Prada 2?
The original stars are back. Meryl Streep returns as Miranda Priestly, alongside Anne Hathaway (Andy Sachs), Emily Blunt (Emily Charlton), and Stanley Tucci (Nigel Kipling). Tracie Thoms and Tibor Feldman will also reprise their roles as Lily and Irv Ravitz.
New cast members include Kenneth Branagh, as Miranda’s husband. As well as Simone Ashley, Lucy Liu, Justin Theroux, B.J. Novak, Pauline Chalamet, Conrad Ricamora, Helen J. Shen, Patric Brammal, and Caleb Hearon.
David Frankel who directed the first movie and writer Aline Brosh McKenna, have also both returned in their original capacities.
Are there any characters not returning?
Adrian Grenier, who played Andy’s controversial boyfriend Nate (often dubbed “the real villain” of the first movie), will not be returning for The Devil Wears Prada 2, according to Entertainment Weekly.
What Is The Devil Wears Prada 2 About?
Plot details are still under wraps, but Variety has confirmed that the story will follow Miranda Priestly as she navigates the decline of traditional magazine publishing. Emily Charlton (Blunt) is now a powerful executive and is possibly competing with Miranda.
Anne Hathaway’s character Andy Sachs is confirmed to return, though it’s unclear how she fits into the story, having quit Runway at the end of the first film.
