From cerulean blues to brat green, these are the 2026 colour trends set to shape spring/summer wardrobes.
If there’s one thing keeping me going through the bleak and dreary winter months, it’s knowing all of the fun, bold colours waiting for us come spring. Neutrals will always remain supreme, and white, of course, is essential for summer, but it’s always refreshing to see the 2026 colour trends dominating the runway for the spring/summer collections.
We are currently in the midst of a maximalist, colour-blocking revival, so having so many exciting colours to choose from isn’t surprising. However, it is worth knowing which colours are actually worth investing in as you start updating your spring/summer wardrobes.
Read on for the eight key colour trends shaping this spring and summer.
2026 Colour Trends To Invest In
Bright Red

For the ultimate confidence-boosting shade, opt for bright red. It’s bold, daring, and not as intimidating as you might think. If wearing it head-to-toe feels like too much, the trick is to strike a balance. Pair it with neutrals or experiment with pops of red through accessories, shoes or statement jackets.
Pretty in Plum

While burgundy continues to be a major colour trend, it’s time for its lesser-worn cousin to step into the spotlight. We’ve seen plum quietly gaining momentum over the past few seasons, and for SS26 it has firmly cemented itself as a must-have shade. Seen at Balenciaga, Burberry and Chloé, plum offers a fresher, more vibrant alternative to deeper reds while still feeling rich and sophisticated.
Brat Green

Is another brat summer on the horizon? The runways say yes! From Erdem to Prada, this vivid green hue appeared largely across draped and structured dresses. It’s loud and unapologetic, reminiscent of care-free summers full of fun.
Cerulean Blue

I’m sure there’s a Devil Wears Prada reference in here somewhere. Cerulean is one of the biggest 2026 colour trends, appearing on the runway in various iterations — from Fendi’s polished midi coat to a sheer, sleeveless dress at Jil Sander. The oceanic tone feels perfectly suited to long summers by the coast, yet refined enough to work just as well in the city.
Candy Pink

Because it wouldn’t be the spring/summer season without a shade of pink to dominate our wardrobes. This year, it’s the season of candy pink. Seen at Stella McCartney, Blumarine, and Patou, this sweet shade is striking without being overbearing and pairs surprisingly well with neutral shades of brown and grey.

Sunshine Yellow

If there was ever a colour that truly embodies summer, it is sunshine yellow. Buttery hues may have had us in a chokehold last year, but for 2026, we’re going bolder and brighter. Some of the biggest designers in the game – McQueen, Fendi, Jacquemus – all embraced vibrant yellow dresses, while Bottega Veneta showed a particularly eye-catching fibre glass jacket. Proving the shade is back with confidence.
Cloud-Dancer White

Pantone’s Colour of the Year for 2026, ‘Cloud Dancer’, has already shown up in several collections this year, including Dior and Bottega Veneta. The light and bright shade is the epitome of purity – perfect for spring and starting a new season with a clear palette.
Rich Teal

If you want to look expensive, teal is the way to go. Seen in the spring/summer 2026 collections of Saint Laurent, Acne, and Loewe, this rich hue was predominantly on jackets, coats, and blazers and even makes a perfect transitional shade once we edge towards autumn.
