Milan Fashion Week: Dsquared2 FW25

Dsquared2 FW25

For FW25, Dsquared2 threw the ultimate party. Celebrating 30 years of the brand, the collection is an expansive celebration of three decades of iconic style.

The Inspiration

Designers Dean and Dan Caten channel the spirit of their brand’s evolution, embracing a diverse and expressive community of characters that reflect Dsquared2’s signature archetypes. From Canadian cowboys to disco queens, glam rockers to red-carpet starlets, the collection is a bold nod to the brand’s past while setting the tone for its next era.

The Location

True to Dsquared2’s dynamic storytelling, the show transports attendees to an immersive nightclub setting, capturing the energy and excitement of a high-fashion celebration. Models roll up one after the other, some having been chauffeured by cars, before walking the venue to pulsating beats.

And what is a nightclub without killer music? Grammy Award winner Doechii opened the show and then later closed it with a performance of “Alter Ego” with City Girl JT. They were joined by the whole cast of the show and designers Dean and Dan.

The Collection

Dsquared2 FW25 is a masterclass in blending archival nostalgia with modern edge. The runway showcased a striking balance between the brand’s classic motifs and fresh, innovative collaborations.

The collection features an eclectic mix of glam-rock-inspired ensembles, daring eveningwear, and edgy street-style pieces. A shimmering Dallas socialite look, complete with a plunging neckline and a ten-gallon cowboy hat, steals the show, while Vaquera’s collaboration introduces a cropped “I heart DSQUARED2” hoodie paired with a voluminous ballerina skirt.

The Best Looks

Among the standout moments of the show, the much-anticipated return of the Iconic Skate boots is met with a dazzling ice queen look, complete with shimmering details that epitomize Dsquared2’s signature glamour.

The Kiss collaboration brings forth disco-ball denim and rockstar-ready pieces that embrace maximalism, while a Ducati influence injects high-speed adrenaline into the collection with structured leather silhouettes. The grand finale features asymmetrical reconstructions of classic eveningwear, proving that Dsquared2’s drama and elegance know no bounds.
